How it works
A research assistant for your own documents
Drop in lecture slides, textbooks, papers, contracts, or your own notes. Offline AI Notebook reads and indexes them on your device, then answers your questions only from what you've given it, and shows its work.
Record or import audio
Tap Record to capture a lecture, meeting, or voice memo, or import any audio file. A built-in open speech model transcribes entirely on your iPhone. Long recordings keep going while your phone is locked, with live progress on the Lock Screen. Audio never leaves the device.
Bring your own sources
Import PDFs (including scanned pages, via on-device OCR), text, and Markdown files into topics. Group them by matter, project, or course. Your library, organized your way.
Ask, get cited answers
Ask anything about your documents and stream an answer built only from your sources. Every claim links back to the exact page and passage it came from. Tap a citation to jump straight to it.
No hallucinated sources
Generic chatbots guess. Offline AI Notebook can't: answers are fenced to your documents by a deterministic search tool, and quizzes are verified against your passages before you ever see them.
Quizzes from your material
Turn any topic into a five-question quiz generated from your sources and checked against them. Grading is deterministic: the AI writes questions, pure Swift scores them.
