Privacy Policy for PromptSiege
The short version
PromptSiege is an educational game about AI security. All gameplay and AI inference happen entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
What the app does on your device
- On-device AI inference. Your prompts and the model's responses are processed locally by Apple Intelligence or an on-device open-weights model (Qwen 3, via MLX). Nothing you type ever leaves your device.
- Local progress storage. Challenge progress, achievements, and your defence configurations are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). This data is never synced or uploaded, and it is permanently deleted if you delete the app.
Network access
The app accesses the network in exactly one situation:
- Optional one-time model download. If you choose the "Qwen 3 (MLX)" inference provider, the app downloads the model weights (~2 GB) from Hugging Face's content delivery network on first use. Hugging Face receives a standard HTTPS request (like visiting their website), which is covered by the Hugging Face Privacy Policy. The app sends no personal information with this request, and after the download the app works fully offline.
Choosing "Apple Intelligence" or "Training Mode" involves no network access at all.
Data we do not collect
- No personal information (name, email, location, contacts, etc.)
- No usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostics
- No advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking
- No prompts, conversations, or gameplay data
Third-party services
The only third party involved is Hugging Face, and only during the optional model download described above. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13, and is suitable for use without providing any personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at lanewayoasis.com/promptsiege/privacy with a new effective date. Since the app collects no data and has no way to contact you, we encourage you to check this page after updates.
